Andre Nieri X Grand Discovery is a power collaboration between Brazilian guitar virtuoso Andre Nieri and Finnish jazz-rock group Grand Discovery. Combining Andre’s blazing guitar playing and the progressive jazz mayhem of Grand Discovery, the group is making a strong statement in the modern jazz-rock scene.
Andre is an electric/classical guitar player, composer, and instructor originally from Brazil who has amazed guitar audiences worldwide with his stunning fingerpicking technique. After graduating from the renowned Carlos de Campos Conservatory in Sao Paulo with a degree in Jazz and Brazilian Music, Andre participated in several guitar competitions with a great success. In 2014 he won one of the most respected guitar competitions in the world, called ‘Guitar Idol’ in London, UK. One year later, he released instructional material through Jam Track Central. Andre Nieri’s first solo EP entitled ‘Two Tone Live Sessions’ was recorded in 2016. Andre has been featured on many guitar magazines such as Total Guitar (UK), Fusion Guitar Book (Japan), Guitar Interactive (UK), Guitar Load (Brazil), Axe Magazine (Italy).

Grand Discovery is a Finnish jazz-rock group masterminded by keyboardist Panu Rauhala and his brother, drummer Tuomas Rauhala. After having some underground success in their early years, Grand Discovery released their comeback album “PROCEED” in November 2021. Grand Discovery’s live line-up includes rising bass talent AP Kauppinen.
